Hi Everyone,
Without doubt, the last two months have been hectic and we have had such a great time with so many fabulous venues and shows.
August:
We started August with a great gig at The Arches in Los Alcazares. As always, Ali was a great host and we had a really good (if very hot time outside. We did Bonanza bar three times in August and the numbers were starting to rise and people were getting used to the new midweek music events there. Casa Nicolas o Saturdays was, as it always is, a pleasure to work in and although crowds were down in the month (as they were in general everywhere), they were great nights.
We started a really nice new restaurant in Cabo Roig but unfortunately, the owners didn’t want to continue music amd stopped the events after the first two gigs. We really were looking forward to helping build numbers there but it wasn’t to be at the time. We had a great night and sell out at Dannys restaurant on 20th. What a friendly place that was but now, due to circumstances out of their control, Danny and Martine have had to close it!
Two Hoggies Sunday gigs proved to be a great succes and we love working there. We visited Nia Bar in Torrevieja and this is truly a lovely but small place. Absolutely fantastic food and such a great sell out crowd again.
August saw the start of the King and Country tour at Los Arcos and the The Rendezvous in Campoamor. Los Arcos (a very large room) didn’t sell out but there was a great crowd there but The Rendezvous did and we had to turn people away. This show has proven to be in great demand and will be repeated next year.
September:
Three appearances at Bonanza Bar in El Chaparral were again creating more and more interest and two more at Hoggies too.
Another trip to Nia Restaurant with a sell out crowd and yet another sell out at Bar Vitto in El Mojon, Casa Nicolas went from strength to strength and we had close to sell out on our Sept Saturdays there which was great to see and the atmosphere was just fantastic there.
Sept saw three more King and Country shows and ALL were sell outs. Rocajune at Punta Prima kicked it off on 15th and then two days later it was the turn of Casa Ventura in San Luis and on the 24th, The Club in Quesada. Just one more of this tour to go now on Oct 24th at Casa Nicolas so, you Country / line dance fans – book now as it’s selling out fast!
On 26th and 27th we started the Ricky Valance 50th anniversary in music end of year tour and as with the early shows, they were both sell outs and so well received. Ricky still has the voice he had way back in the 60s and the combination of the performances on the night was acclaimed as being just GREAT!! We love working with Ricky and are looking forward to the four remaining tour dates with him which are on 17th Oct at Los Arcos, 22nd Oct at Rocajuna, Punta Prima, 27th Oct at The Club in Quesada and 31st Oct at The Lounge Bar in Torrevieja, All are looking as if they will sell out so PLEASE BOOK NOW guys!!
We just want to say a very special thank you to all of the venues on the tour circuit. They are all doing a great job in every way and we love working with them.
Well, it’s time for the first of our late in the year UK tours and we leave for 12 days on 3rd Oct. We will be doing twenty one lots of music while there and see the family etc. It’s exciting but hectic! Never mind, it will be fun and we will be available for anyone to contact us. Take care all – Peter & Fiona
