Well, another month has gone and it’s been a really busy one for us. Just before we returned to the UK for our ten day tour on the 8th, we were involved in helping Bar Carmen with their charity event for the Laura appeal. It was a great night and Wendy and Harry at the bar have every reason to be really happy with the result. Over 800 euros was raised and the night was a big success. We featured in the event and it was great to work alongside Ricky Valance again. Paul Falcon was also there and we were please to be able to do the sound support for both of them. The FULL MONTY (well, it was close) and the Jazz ladies (of which Fiona was one of the great dancers on the night) made the event really special and we all had a great time.

In the UK, we completed thirteen gigs in ten days which was a bit of a challenge!! Then, it was back to Spain to formally launch the new name of our act. Since then, we have been able to use the new posters and set out a marketing strategy for the show which is very exciting.

Over the weekend of 23rd – 25th October, we were booked to be at the “This is Spain” exhibition at Hotel La Zenia. We found ourselves helping with the sound for the other acts including Flamenco dance, childrens dance groups and others. It was great fun and we enjoyed meeting everyone at the event.

We have a busy weekend to close the month with Thursdays gig at Bar Carmen, Friday at Championes bar (for the first time) and Saturday at one of our favourite regular venues, Casa Nicolas Restaurant (for Halloween). Fiona is threatening to wear her Halloween costume for this one!!

The beginning of November will see us busy as we lead up to our 30 day tour of the UK starting on the 18th. We have two hectic weekends in Spain before leaving and then the prospect of fifty one (yes 51)  gigs in thirty days whilst in the UK!!  When we return on 18th December, it will be staight into the Christmas season in Spain which we are really excited about.

End of September 2009 – News

Hi everyone,

Well, it’s the end of September and the most exciting and important thing that we have to report is the change of name!  After so many years known as Musical Tributes, we have changed the act name to Jukebox Legends.  It feels a little strange but, we believe it will help us establish the type of entertainment we do and give a wider, more varied option of songs.  Fiona and I are working on many new ideas and are very excited about what is happening.  Close behind is the new website – Yes, you are on it now!!!  It’s a bit “buzzy” compared to the last one and we are getting some really good feedback from our venues and our fans alike.

The summer in Spain has been kind to us and even though times are very tough for most of the venues, we have been very successful with bookings.  Its been great fun and now, we are looking forward to two trips to the UK before Christmas and then a return to Spain on December 18th. We will then go straight into a busy spell in Spain with booking from the first day back, over Christmas and on New Years Eve. 

Our first trip to the UK is on 8th October and we will be there for ten days taking in fourteen gigs whilst there (and getting to see the family of course)!  The we return to Spain for four weeks before going back to the Uk on November 18th for thirty days.  During that period we currently have forty seven bookings in place (phew)!!!!!  Anyway, it will be fun and we are looking forward to seeing our friends at the Clubs, Corporate parties, Private events, Sheltered groups and homes again.  Keep up with our live appearances on the “Live Dates” page.
